After quite a bad case of acne, I want to get rid of my facial scars. What options do I have?
I’d recommend you investigate a less drastic alternative. There are creams available online and at your chemist.
Check you what Rebecca has to say on her blog http://www.howtogetridofpimplescars.com/ which deals with exactly the issue your facing.
When acne leaves unsightly and even disfiguring scars behind, acne scar removal can make all the difference. Over time, cosmetic surgeons have used various techniques to tackle ugly acne scars and the science of acne scar removal has evolved considerably. In the past, dermabrasion was a preferred method. This entailed removing the scarred topmost layer of the skin via a sanding procedure.
Understandably, this procedure was quite painful and doctors often employed local anesthesia while using it on patients. The skin would look raw and be painfully tender for quite a while after dermabrasion, too. New, unscarred skin often took months to grow back after this procedure.
Many doctors used chemical peels to achieve acne scar removal. This procedure was also quite drastic, because it used chemicals that caused the skin to blister and finally peel off. Other procedures included punch replacement grafting and soft tissue filling.

my acne scars are not too deep, so what could work?
The natural ways to remove scars are easy and safe. Find out about different natural acne scar removal methods and decide which method is best suited for you. Following are some of the effective tips of removing acne scars in a natural way.
Water plays a vital role in the natural acne scar removal process. Drink sufficient water and regular intake of water helps the skin to retain its natural moisture and removes the dead cells. It also helps to form new cells of the skin and hides the acne scars. Drinking enough water helps to flush out the toxins and results into glowing skin.Prepare a home pack by mixing rose water and sandalwood and apply it on the scars. You can also use aloe Vera or natural seed oils for the removal of acne scars in a natural way.

Does taking soy isoflavones help with scar tissue?
Soy is greatly overrated for almost everything. Scar tissue is the body’s way of healing, so to speak of "healing" a scar is nonsense. You can minimize scarring by treating the wound properly and keeping it covered while healing.
Once the scar tissue has formed, you can minimize it by removing it soon after it forms. If it has been there a while, only surgery or laser treatment can help.

does anyone know of any natural remedy’s for scar reduction??
For natural methods, the only one I can think of is Aloe Vera. Grow one and cut off some pieces to put on the scar.

My little cousin got into a car accident & had 12 stitches under her eye. The doctor who removed her stitches recommended a scar cream to fade the scar. Would it be best to go with the prescribed scar cream or are otc scar creams just as effective? My aunt is needing advice. She doesn’t want to spend more than necessary but knows it’s important to get one that works. My little cousin is 13 & I know it would hurt her self esteem to have a bad scar on her face for the rest of her life.
I second the use of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E. It smells really good, and it makes your skin smooth and soft while it fades scars. I’ve been using it on a huge scar on my leg, and its faded considerably (and is silky smooth). It works pretty well on newer scars, and after continuous use it might soften old scars as well.
The only downside is that is stays greasy for a while, so it would be best used at night. Until then, use make-up to try to cover it up.
